Established in 1949, Blount Boats is a full-service shipyard, which specializes in boat design, engineering, craftsmanship and repair. Located in Warren, R.I., the company employs more than 50 people. Its facility includes a lift dock, construction shop, fabricating unit and construction shed. It builds commuter boats, dinner excursion boats, passenger and vehicle ferries, ship cruise vessels, tugs, bunkering tankers, oil supply boats and commercial fishing boats. Blount Boats has the capacity to build vessels of more than 200 feet. Its boats are found on the waters of Great Lakes and the Caribbean Islands and on various ports in Central America and South America.
