Des Moines International Airport is a dual civilian/military airport located three miles from central Des Moines. The airport opened in 1933 and the first commercial terminal followed shortly. A new terminal was completed in 1950 and the current structure was constructed in 1970. In 1986, the airport adopted its current name.

Parking at DSM Airport allows options for short and long-term parking, economy lots and shuttles to the terminal make for convenient commutes to and from the airport. Seven airlines serve travelers and Chicago, Denver and Dallas are the airports most popular destinations. There 19 destinations with non-stop service. The main airlines serving DSM are Delta Air Lines and American Eagle.

Charlotte/Douglas International Airport CLT is a dual military and civilian airport in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Charlotte Airport is approximately 4 miles west of Charlotte’s downtown.
