Sun Tran s mission is to provide a safe, well-maintained and cost-effective public transportation to the people of Tucson, Ariz. Sun Trans transit centers provide major destination and transfer points to other parts of the city. The centers include an information booth, with Transit Center Representatives, a covered waiting area, restrooms, public telephones and other amenities. In addition, individuals can pick up a Sun Tran Ride Guide, purchase a bus pass and receive trip planning guidance. Programs and services offered include the U-Pass, Bike and Ride, Get on Board and Children s Program. In 2005, the American Public Transportation Association selected Sun Tran as America s Best Transit System.
