A family business since 1922, Kohler Farms offers locally grown, fresh produce, a full line of bedding plants and perennials, gardening supplies, hay, straw and feed. "We try to grow everything here or get it from as close by as we can," says Nathan Kohler. In the store, one can also find eggs, milk, salad dressing, mustard, preserves, candy and even ice-cream. As listed on the website, a variety of services are offered to large farm owners. In the fall, the vast and beautiful farm is open for hay rides and pumpkin picking.
Flint Hill Farms is an agricultural education facility located on a 28-acre area of land. It offers courses in horsemanship, spinning, weaving, knitting, and training for horse power on small farms. During occasional open houses, it hosts demonstrations, tours, and hayrides. A farm camp is available for kids age 7 through 15 years to join in July and August. Vocational programs are also available for teen and young adults with physical and mental challenges.
